Week 26 of Year 3 "Many Mansions"

Menu

For adult study: "Many Mansions"

The story summary and questions were written in a way that makes it possible to use a New Testament reference in place of the Urantia reference. A selected chapter from a 1932 book, Treasure-House of the Living Religions, supports a spiritual theme that is found within the story. Children will use a one page handout that includes a coloring picture.

Paper 180:3.4-10
The Urantia Book

Let not your hearts be troubled

Students may read Paper 180:3.4-7 or through paragraph 10

Jesus had often told his disciples that he would soon die and return to heaven. Now, during the Last Supper, Jesus spoke words of comfort to them. He said, “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.” He promised the disciples that they could look forward to the many places in heaven that were prepared for them. Thomas, however, wanted to know more about how to find where Jesus was going. Jesus replied, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
Discussion Questions

When we think about life after death, we can remember the familiar words, “In my Father's house are many mansions.” What do you think eternal life is like? How does it help us to know that heavenly places have been prepared for us?
