The fifty chapters in this book helped me to identify an interfaith spiritual theme for each of the One Page lessons.
Robert E. Hume (1877–1948) taught a history of religions course at Union Theological Seminary. He was a Congregational minister and had been a missionary in India. Professor Hume selected passages from the sacred scriptures of world religions and placed them into fifty thematic chapters, as follows:
