Week 31 of Year 3 "The Good News"

Menu

For adult study: "The Good News"

The story summary and questions were written in a way that makes it possible to use a New Testament reference in place of the Urantia reference. A selected chapter from a 1932 book, titled Treasure-House of the Living Religions, supports a spiritual theme that is found within the story. Children will use a one page handout that includes a coloring picture.

Paper 192:3
The Urantia Book

Go into all the world

Students may read Paper 192:3

Jesus appeared to his disciples after they returned to Galilee. First, he appeared to them on the shore when they were fishing. Later, Jesus said he would meet them on a certain hilltop in Galilee. The disciples gathered on the mount, and when Jesus appeared, they knelt before him. They heard the Master speak with the authority that had been given to him. The words that Jesus said, as recorded in Matthew’s gospel, became known as “The Great Commission.”

Discussion Questions
The apostles devoted their lives to spreading the good news of the kingdom. What is the good news? Jesus also said to them, “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” How did this help the apostles as they labored for the kingdom?
